Admission Requirements for Master's Degree & Postgraduate Diploma Programs

Admission Requirements for Master's Degree Programs

To gain admission to IUIM's Master's degree programs, candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree from an institution licensed or appropriately accredited by a recognized accrediting agency, either approved by the United States Department of Education or recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). For non-U.S. institutions, eligibility is contingent upon approval from an equivalent authority.

Master’s Degree Criteria:

- The Master’s Degree necessitates a minimum of thirty-nine (39) graduate semester units, with specialization requiring an additional six (6) semester units.

- Each semester unit is equivalent to fifteen (15) contact hours per course per week.

Program Completion Requirements:

To successfully complete the Master’s Degree, candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. Graduate Coursework:

   - Thirty-nine (39) semester units completed through the University in the field of study at the graduate level beyond the Bachelor's degree; or

   - A minimum of thirty-three (33) semester units completed through the University in the field of study at the graduate level beyond the Bachelor's degree, plus six (6) transferrable semester units.

2. Graduate Project Manuscript:

   - Completion and acceptance of the Graduate Project Manuscript.

3. Academic Performance:

   - Maintain a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0 (B) or higher.

4. Transcripts:

   - Official transcripts of all coursework for the Bachelor’s Degree must be on file.


**Transfer of Incoming Credits Policy:**

- A maximum of 6 graduate semester units may be accepted in transfer toward the Master's degree.

 - Transfer credits must be earned at institutions licensed or accredited by relevant authorities, recognized by the United States Department of Education, or accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

- Credit earned in graduate courses with a grade of "B" or higher will be considered for transfer.

- To facilitate the evaluation of prior college work, candidates must provide official transcripts to the University.

Admission Requirements for Postgraduate Diploma Programs

Candidates aspiring to enroll in IUIM's Postgraduate Diploma Programs are required to meet the following admission criteria:

1. Educational Qualifications:

   - Possession of a recognized Bachelor's degree from an institution licensed or appropriately accredited by a recognized accrediting agency, approved by the United States Department of Education, or recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). For non-U.S. institutions, eligibility is subject to approval from an equivalent authority.

2. Minimum Academic Performance:

   - A minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in the undergraduate degree.

3. Field of Study Relevance:

   - Demonstration of academic background or professional experience relevant to the chosen Postgraduate Diploma program.

4. Language Proficiency:

   - Proficiency in the language of instruction, usually English. Applicants may be required to submit standardized language test scores if applicable.

5. Professional Experience (if applicable):

   - Some programs may require relevant professional experience in addition to academic qualifications. Candidates are encouraged to review specific program requirements.

6. Letters of Recommendation:

   - Submission of at least two letters of recommendation attesting to the candidate's academic and/or professional capabilities.

7. Statement of Purpose:

   - A written statement outlining the candidate's academic and career goals, as well as the reasons for pursuing the specific Postgraduate Diploma program.

8. Interview (if applicable):

   - Some programs may require a personal or virtual interview as part of the selection process.

9. Transcripts:

   - Submission of official transcripts for the Bachelor's degree, including course details and grades obtained.

10. Application Form and Fee:

    - Completion of the official application form along with the required application fee.

11. Additional Program-Specific Requirements:

    - Candidates should check for any additional requirements specified by the individual Postgraduate Diploma program of interest.

Admission to any of our degree programs does not require, Graduate Record Examinations (GRE), Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or any other qualifying examination.
